Ballet, Chinese Dance, Creative Dance Instructor

Ms. Xin graduated in dance education and successfully completed a four-year training program at the renowned dance school, Peridance, in New York. She has trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Social Dances. She worked with several dance studios and has created many ballet, contemporary, theater dances for kids and teens, reminding them to "dance with passion and love".

Currently, she works as a teaching artist at Dancing Classrooms, a non-profit organization, where she teaches and brings joy to public elementary school students across all five boroughs of New York City.

XIN TAN is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT®Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

Dagner

Hip-Hop Instructor

Dagner Segura is a seasoned commercial dancer and dance instructor with seven years of experience teaching and choreographing. He has trained extensively in Los Angeles, Hawaii, Mexico City, New York, and Costa Rica, honing his craft across diverse dance styles and disciplines. Dagner's choreography has been featured in various productions, and he has performed at prestigious events such as New York Fashion Week and contemporary ballet showcases at the National Theater in Costa Rica. Passionate about both dance and instruction, he finds fulfillment in guiding his students and witnessing their growth as performers.

K-Pop Instructor

Hi dancers, I’m Meilly! I’ve been into K-pop & choreography since I was a kid, and recently, I got to perform at the WNBA halftime show at Barclays Center. Let’s dance!

Jennifer

Jazz Instructor

Jennifer has a strong foundation in performance, musicality, and movement education. She teaches a wide range of styles, including K-Pop, street jazz, choreography, and hip-hop, working with both children and adult students.

Jennifer is known for her structured yet encouraging approach, helping students develop technique, confidence, and musical awareness in a supportive learning environment. Her classes emphasize clear fundamentals paired with expressive movement, making them accessible to beginners while remaining engaging for more experienced dancers. She is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where students feel motivated, challenged, and excited to grow through dance.

Alan

Social Dance (Cumbia) Instructor

Alan grew up in a close-knit community in Queens, where he was immersed in a vibrant mix of cultures and dance styles. Dance has always been a constant in his life, from performing at Quinceañeras to grooving while doing everyday chores. At 23, he began choreographing and coordinating private events, quickly finding his passion for teaching and sharing dance with others.

In 2014, Alan joined Cali Salsa Pal Mundo Academy, where he dedicated himself to mastering Salsa Caleña. His journey continued in 2019 when he became a member of Tumbaga, The Colombian Dance Company of New York, performing in The Colors of Colombia. Along the way, Alan has had the privilege of learning from renowned instructors such as Alex & Desire, Maria Ramos, Jorge Riascos, and Ana Saoco, who have each shaped his growth as a dancer.

In 2023, Alan expanded his dance repertoire by studying Salsa On2 (New York style) at Empire Mambo Studio and Soul in Motion Academy. He soon began performing with Souls in Motion, showcasing his unique fusion of On2 and Caleña styles.

In 2025, Alan launched The KUMBIA Experience in Brooklyn, a dynamic Cumbia dance cycle designed to share his knowledge and passion for this rich Latin American genre. With over 11 years of teaching experience, Alan’s mission is to inspire confidence on the dance floor, guiding students of all levels to embrace their own rhythm and style.

Cumbia, the heartbeat of Latin America, is at the core of Alan's teaching. While he explores its many subgenres, his primary focus is on Cumbia Sonidera, bringing the rhythm and spirit of this vibrant style to life in his classes.
